This winter sunset proposal in Venice was planned like a small masterpiece.
Before we even chose the city, I spent hours with the groom on calls - exploring every option together: Rome, Tuscany, Florenceโฆ until we found the one place that truly matched her. She has that refined, elegant energy - and Venice, at sunset, felt like it was made for her.
Once Venice was chosen, we planned everything down to the smallest detail. Outfit included - I prepared shopping recommendations because the groom wanted to look chic for such a special occasion, he also sent me photos from the shop. We mapped the timing minute by minute, where to stand, how to approach her, when to pause, when to kneel - so the moment would feel natural, not stressful. The family was part of the plan too, with clear timing and positions, so everyone could be present without stealing the intimacy.
I arrived early to protect the scene - even making sure the boat with trash was moved so the view would stay clean. Then, right at the golden edge of sunset, with Venice glowing behind them - Santa Maria della Salute, Doge's Palace, San Marco, and that iconic Venetian grandeur - the proposal happened exactly the way it should: calm, breathtaking, and full of emotion.
After the โyesโ, we continued with a gondola ride and a luxury photoshoot at The Gritti Palace, mixing natural light with flash to keep the images rich, editorial, and timeless. One of the most exclusive experiences - and one of the most unforgettable.
